T-SIDC(Tethered Electronic Student ID card)

In this age of information overload and misinformation, indulging in smartphones might blur the boundaries between children and adults. The Chinese Ministry of Education believes that banning the use of smartphones during school hours will have a positive impact on students' development and introduces relevant policies. The T-SIDC (Tethered Electronic Student ID Card) was designed against the new education model and policy in the new era, aiming to meet primary and secondary students’ communication needs inside and outside the campus. On the basis of conventional student ID cards, this new one adds Bluetooth mode and NFC functions (including single CLF, eSE, etc.), enabling attendance records, positioning, NFC payment, and other innovative features to be a smart campus/city card. Besides, this electronic student ID card supports quick calls and real-time positioning, which helps ensure students’ safety during commuting between home and school. A simple and cost-effective screen-free version of this electronic student ID card is specially developed for families in underdeveloped regions, benefiting more families under the new educational policy.
