Tianjin, abbreviated as "Jin", also known as Jingu and Jinmen, is a provincial administrative region of the People's Republic of China. Tianjin has risen due to water transportation since ancient times. After the middle of the Tang Dynasty, Tianjin became a land and water terminal for southern grain and silk transportation to the north; the Jin Dynasty set up "Zhigu Village" in Zhigu; the Yuan Dynasty set up "Haijin Town", which was a military town and a transportation center for water and grain. . The city was officially built in the second year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty. It is the only city in ancient China that has an exact record of the time it was built. After Tianjin was opened as a trade port in the tenth year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty, Western powers established concessions here one after another. Tianjin became the frontier of opening up in northern China and the base of modern Chinese Westernization Movement.
