Nestled in the picturesque Nan'ao Island, this project benefits from a mild climate year-round and abundant tourism resources, making it a sought-after vacation destination. However, amidst the many homestays filled with trendy internet aesthetics, the owner envisioned creating a space that truly embodies a lifestyle attitude, not just a place for a short stay, but a home where guests can fully immerse themselves and never want to leave.
The designer rejected superficial trends in favor of a warm, wood-toned palette, crafting three distinct mid-century style homestays within the limited space. Using classic design language, the spaces exude a sense of sophistication and tranquility, offering travelers warmth and a deep sense of belonging. Thoughtful spatial planning, refined material selection, and a seamless interaction between people and space allow guests to truly experience and embrace the slow-paced charm of Nan'ao Island.
With natural wood as the foundation, complemented by vintage furniture and warm lighting, the design creates a serene and tactile living environment. Each homestay, though rooted in mid-century aesthetics, is uniquely tailored in its details, giving every space its own personality.
