Thimple Atelic Series Stationery
Thimple is derived from Think Simple, an attitude we felt to be an apt antidote to our times. Atelic is the name of this series, describing unfinished imperfection, much like the pursuit of beauty in our lives. Brands used to emphasize their heritage with Since 18xx. Here instead, we use Design for 2200, a focus on the future and the good of humanity.
The I in Thimple is developed into a brand marque in the pen clasp. Different use of spaces and combination of English, Chinese (domestic) and Japanese (export market) characters were used in various layout and retail setting.
Qing Stationery
Qing in the Chinese language describes a spectrum of colors from black, grey, blue to green. It’s an anti-Pantone cultural concept, a East vs West difference. The latter’s influence gave rise to standardized musical notation, recipes, also industrial color specs. Qing in ideogrammatic combination expresses the most exquisite, most beautiful. We expressed this concept by selecting the most beautiful color in each month. The naming of each color took reference from nature and historical literature.
Made Up Stationery
Beauty is a lifelong pursuit, both internal and external. Enhancement through cosmetics and make up ultimately empowers one with confidence to face life’s daily struggles. As stationery shares largely a consumer base with the cosmetics industry, we borrowed this visual language to produce a range of products, that we hope, will similarly empower and bring warmth to daily life.
Thimple Stationery Atelic Series Product Booklet
We took a different take on product booklets by putting the focus not on the products, but on the end users. In particular, how colors paint different emotional states. Hence the graphics and copy describe a particular scene in this vast canvas that is our lives.
Here we have two booklets from 2 product ranges, Qing and Madeup.
