Saha Casa was not just meant to be a boutique hotel; it was meant to be a groundbreaking architectural solution to the problem of people being cut off from nature in the middle of a densely populated city.
The core innovation lies in the concept of the "Breathing Therapeutic Shell." We have used the biological structure of a "cave" in modern architecture instead of using artificial cooling systems to deal with heat in cities. The building's skin is a complex, staggered geometric system that serves as a multi-layered thermal filter, channeling natural wind and light deep into the core of the structure. The 6-meter cantilevered acrylic swimming pool is a bold engineering feat that not only creates a striking visual tension but also shows how modern structural engineering and installation art can come together.
Saha Casa fosters a culture of sustainable design through the revival of indigenous Terrazzo art, transforming each wall surface into a tactile sculpture. By integrating medicinal flora throughout the various architectural levels, we have cultivated a genuine 'therapeutic ecosystem'—a space that serves not merely as a residence, but as an entity that nurtures the spirit. This project shows that sustainable architecture doesn't come from high-tech solutions.
