Project Description

The project is located on the prime axis of the Daliang East District, enjoying proximity to nearly 1,000 acres of egret wetland park, an exceptional natural environment. It is also adjacent to key urban landmarks such as Shunfeng Mountain, CR MixC, and Guipan Lake, integrating the vibrancy of the city with the beauty of nature, offering residents a high-quality living experience.
The overall design draws inspiration from the lifestyle patterns of traditional grand residences and is centered around the concept of a Shunde family. It aims to organically blend contemporary living with ecological nature. Through an exploration of the lifestyles and aesthetic sensibilities of modern Shunde residents, local cultural elements such as dragon boat festivals, ceramics, and Xiangyunsha (a traditional silk fabric) are artistically interpreted and integrated into the spatial narrative. These cultural motifs are subtly embedded into each floor’s design, allowing visitors to traverse the space while experiencing the rich local cultural atmosphere. This approach effectively aligns the three core elements of tradition, modernity, and locality, endowing the space with a unique architectural language. It creates an ideal home that belongs uniquely to the people of Shunde, achieving both the poetic essence of “seclusion” and the relaxing ease of “habitation.”
Material Selection:
The space primarily employs leather, metal, and luxury stone, complemented by high-grade silk and fabrics with natural textures. The interplay between materials evokes a sense of understated luxury. In terms of color palette, the overall tone is a warm grey, accented with earthy hues and jade black, adding natural warmth and tactile richness to the environment.
■ Design Element Extraction
The spatial design integrates three core elements: local cultural memory, contemporary artistic value, and a connection to the natural environment, forming a furniture-centered spatial experience with emotional depth and distinct aesthetics.
Expression of Local Cultural Memory
— Drawing from Foshan’s cultural symbols, traditional crafts, and historical heritage, the space reinterprets these through modern design language. Artistic representations like gold-leaf screens and handcrafted lacquer works aim to carry the city’s memory and awaken a sense of cultural identity.
Translation of Contemporary Artistic Value
— Visual elements from contemporary ink painting embody a philosophy of space. By deconstructing and reimagining its spiritual essence, the space maintains a quiet depth rooted in urban cultural context while reactivating traditional art with a contemporary vitality. This achieves a forward-looking, artful reinterpretation of tradition. Immersive Experience of Local Nature — Natural materials, ecological environments, and sustainable design philosophies are introduced through photographic art and organic forms. This creates a space that feels as though it has “grown from the environment,” fostering harmony between humanity and nature.
These three core design elements permeate the entire space, grounding it in local heritage while projecting an international artistic vision—ultimately crafting a contemporary residence with warmth, soul, and breath.
■ Design Themes
1.First Floor – “Luxurious Resort Lifestyle”
Featuring top-tier brand furniture and lighting, this level showcases “contemporary art culture” infused with local urban narratives. The aim is to elevate artistic value while resonating emotionally with local clientele.
2.Second Floor – Children’s Living Area
Dedicated to children's daily living and rest, this level uses local urban elements as an artistic thread to express the harmony between “human care” and “natural environment,” echoing sustainable development ideals.
3.Third Floor – Symbol of “Longlin (Dragon-Kirin)”
Using contemporary expressions of the mythical kirin (a culturally significant creature), this floor highlights local identity and connects to the project’s symbolic totem, enhancing value and resonance.
4.Mezzanine – Feminine Social Realm
Serving as the main social area for the female homeowner, the mezzanine artistically presents Foshan’s Xiangyunsha intangible cultural heritage, emphasizing the gentle beauty of feminine elegance.
5.Basement – Cultural Legacy and Family Spirit
With a backdrop of urban culture and emotional ties to family heritage, the basement adopts “dragon” as its core symbol. As an embodiment of Chinese cultural heritage, the dragon symbolizes familial bonds and social stature. Decorative elements like dragon boat photography and dragon/lion jade seals narrate a story of high-end living and cultural depth.
■ Brand Introduction
The selection of furniture and lighting brands centers around the Italian luxury brand Henge, known for its sculptural forms, refined materials, and craftsmanship that exude a quiet sense of luxury. Complemented by other high-end international brands like Minotti and Poliform, the space presents an understated luxury style, resonating with the aesthetic preferences and social identities of elite clientele.
Lighting selections favor contemporary Italian brand Catellani & Smith, renowned for clean lines and handcrafted elegance. Each piece is meticulously created with passion and finesse, articulating a vision of modern Oriental aesthetics throughout the space.
