MOONLIT
Project Description
Located in the suburbs, this abode is a tranquil retreat away from the bustling city. The duplex layout is thoughtfully designed to maximize flexibility, clearly delineating communal and private spaces while creating a living environment that fulfills the homeowner's aspirations. The first floor is designed as a communal space, featuring a living room for hosting guests and a study room that serves as a home office. The second floor consists of self-contained, functional private areas thoughtfully designed to provide residents with a serene retreat for relaxation, contemplation, and to escape from the outside world. The second floor features an entertainment area, a kitchen, a bedroom, and an outdoor bathing area to enhance the quality of life.
To get the most out of a limited space, the hollowed TV wall enhances a sense of openness while incorporating composite materials to add layers of texture. At a glance, the minimalist feature wall serves as the foreground, the hollowed spiral staircase with its elegant curves forms the midground, and the dynamic play of light and shadow through the glass doors creates the background. The interaction of these three layers of depth generates a dynamic visual flow in a static view, effortlessly blending elegance with a touch of subtle contrast. It embodies a refined aesthetic, balancing simplicity with a delicate touch of charm.
On the second floor, low-saturation tones create a relaxing and comfortable ambiance. The wall behind the sofa features an eye-catching red brick wallpaper, adding character and personality, while layers of wood accents in varying tones bring warmth to the space. To enhance the visual effect, the hallway with black mirrors creates an illusion of expanded space. In the bedroom, the main wall features a curved design that softens the feeling of oppression associated with a low beam. A flowing LED light strip follows the curve, emitting a soft glow that creates a cozy ambiance for sleep.
