IDPA Japan Design Award

Lightweight spatial language

by Jeff

Projet Description

This case is an office space, mainly engaged in domestic trade, and there are many types of products sold. The users of the space are a group of post-85s and post-90s young people. The design aims to break through the limitations of the original space, create a vibrant office atmosphere, reduce constraints, even a little cool and fun, and become a space favored by young people.
While meeting the functional requirements and visual experience, the entire project uses design to guide the change of office mode, from the traditional closed centralized office to the free switching of discussion and communication.
The classic KAWS dolls-COMPANION with a skull face and BFF with a furry appearance, stylish color schemes, successfully attract attention at the entrance of the space, this is the space language of young people. Art is not a luxury, and it is not unattainable. It is like spiritual food, becoming a taste of daily life.
In the water bar area, the designer breaks through the white visual presentation. The orange-red and black storage racks on the wall can not only display the company's products, but also stimulate the space users and trigger more inspirational collisions.
In terms of hard decoration, the daylighting from the large French windows on the north and east sides is fully utilized. While adjusting the position of the functional partitions, the space flow is enriched, and the limited space is designed with subtraction, so that the limited space has unlimited possibilities.
