GE DIAO CHU QING

by Hu Meizhi

Project Description

The ultimate goal of this style is to unleash energy through extreme restraint, using a timeless monochrome to reflect the flow of life. As designer David Hicks puts it, "True luxury lies in daring to use black and white."
The American minimalist black and white interior style is a **fusion of American ruggedness and minimalism**, where the essence of materials is highlighted by stripping away colors, creating a **warm and powerful living space** through stark contrasts.
Here are the core design principles: | **Structural Layer** | Door and window frames / beams and columns / stair frames | Wall and ceiling bases | Cement self-leveling floors | | **Interface Layer** | Ironwork partitions / blackboard walls | Three-dimensional panel wainscoting | Weathered oak flooring (smoked) | | **Focus Layer** | Real fire fireplace frame / island countertop | Flax curtains / large photographs | Zebra-striped chair (black and white gradient) | Golden ratio: 60% white (expansion effect) + 30% black (structural strength) + 10% gray (transition layer) Note: The kitchen can be expanded to 50% black (countertops) + 40% white (counters) + 10% gray (hardware) * --- | Furniture | Riveted leather dining chairs | Wood grain sliced tables | A blend of refined and rugged aesthetics
