Conghua Agriculture Exihibition Hall

Nestled in the northern ecological highlands of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area—celebrated as the “Pearl of the Tropic of Cancer”—this project stands as a national exemplar of integrated rural revitalization. Leveraging its role as a pilot demonstration site, it aspires to become a hub for agricultural innovation, scientific research, and cultural tourism.
We envisioned a suspended space between sky and rice fields—a structure that gently touches the land while dissolving boundaries between people and nature, deepening our primal connection to the earth. The façade, crafted from Conghua’s signature lateritic red soil, merges seamlessly with the terrain. Cascading courtyards and atriums frame intimate dialogues with the shifting seasons.
Inspired by Guangzhou’s traditional courtyard houses, the architectural forms extend social vitality into outdoor realms. The entire complex harmonizes with its natural surroundings, creating a thermally balanced sanctuary. Expansive glass walls further blur the indoor–outdoor threshold, awakening the land’s latent vitality.
