Zouxin+ Urban Experience Space

by Zouxinjia Intangible Cultural Heritage Culture Co., Ltd.

Project Description

Since 2013, Zouxin Xiangyun has continuously explored new possibilities for Xiangyunsha in contemporary life. What began as a focus on heritage fabric has gradually expanded into a broader reflection on the relationship between people and nature, fashion and everyday living. As the brand’s intangible cultural heritage art space, Zouxin+ brings together Xiangyunsha apparel, haute couture, heritage exhibitions, Chinese gardens, tea culture, moxibustion therapy, and cultural creative products. Guided by the philosophy of “Returning to Nature, Living with Intention,” the space offers urban visitors a slower, more grounded lifestyle experience rooted in Eastern aesthetics and humanistic values.
In 2025, the first Zouxin+ Urban Experience Space quietly opened in Kexing Science Park, Nanshan, Shenzhen. Located in one of the city’s most dynamic technology hubs, surrounded by companies such as Tencent and DJI, the space adopts a completely different rhythm from the fast-paced urban environment around it. Rather than separating itself from the city, it creates an alternative sense of time within daily urban life. Here, the focus shifts away from efficiency and productivity toward connections between people, nature, and inner emotions. The “+” symbolizes not only the integration of diverse functions, but also an open vision for future lifestyles, where the city, ecology, fashion, and nature coexist and evolve together.
The spatial design draws inspiration from the spirit of traditional Chinese gardens while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. An open layout dissolves conventional spatial boundaries, allowing interior landscapes and winding circulation paths to flow naturally into one another. Sightlines extend across different areas to create layered spatial depth and changing perspectives. Rather than directly replicating classical garden forms, the design adopts traditional concepts such as borrowed scenery and framed views, transforming movement through the space into an immersive emotional experience. Light and shadow also shift throughout the day. Daylight softly filters across textured surfaces, while warm lighting at night creates a calm and meditative atmosphere, allowing visitors to momentarily slow down and reconnect with themselves.
Within Zouxin+, materials become part of the spatial narrative. Artistic coatings in Longque blue, deep purple-brown, gold, and green define different emotional zones through color rather than physical partitions. Xiangyunsha, traditionally used for garments, extends beyond fashion into wall installations, screens, and seating details, transforming the brand’s signature textile from something wearable into something immersive. Scattered throughout the space, antique furniture pieces introduce a tangible sense of time and memory. A weathered table, a carved window frame, or a pair of traditional armchairs each carries traces of past lives and quietly dialogues with the contemporary setting. Together, they turn the idea of “living with intention” into something visible, touchable, and deeply connected to everyday life.
