WHIZZER 1969s

by Shine Meditation Health Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd

Project Description

The WHIZZER 1969s is an on-ear headphone that blends fashion, retro aesthetics, and modern acoustic technology. Its design draws inspiration from the iconic Realistic Nova 4, a classic headphone born in 1969. By merging contemporary consumer culture, the resurgence of retro trends, and the fashionable functionality of headsets, our designers aimed to fuse these elements with cutting-edge acoustic technology to deliver an exceptional listening and wearing experience. This achieves an exquisite balance of aesthetics and functionality, paying homage to the golden era of the 1960s, when consumer headphone devices and music culture flourished.
Visually, the WHIZZER 1969s retains the iconic metal 3D cavity panel design of the Realistic Nova 4, enhanced with modern surface treatment techniques. The interplay of electrochemical machining (ECM) and traditional mechanical processing creates a distinctive retro-futuristic aesthetic.
This synergy of craftsmanship and design ensures that, even when viewed up close, the panel’s refined dual-texture overlay effect conveys impeccable industrial quality and intricate detail.
Thanks to the inherent advantages of on-ear ear cushions and a highly integrated internal component design, the WHIZZER 1969s is significantly smaller than mainstream over-ear headphones, weighing only 135 grams. This avoids the instability of overly light designs while effectively reducing fatigue during prolonged wear, striking a precise balance between lightweight construction and wearing comfort. This makes it ideal for younger users to carry as a fashion accessory, effortlessly blending with various style aesthetics while retaining its retro-futuristic charm.
However, while on-ear headphones offer nostalgic appeal and visual impact, their structural characteristics often result in weaker soundstage sealing and environmental noise isolation. To address this, the WHIZZER 1969s incorporates a proprietary anti-direct-impact soundproof mesh and a lattice-style sound output design, combined with an internal acoustic structure based on dipole acoustic principles. These innovations effectively enhance sound isolation and soundstage control, mitigating this drawback.
Furthermore, it departs from the diffuse-field dynamic drivers commonly used in most headphones, opting instead for the Whizzer 40mm 7th-Gen pressure-field phase driver, tailored to the product’s size and lattice soundproof ear cushions. This focused pressure-field phase waveform reduces sound leakage at non-working angles while delivering a listening experience closer to that of in-ear monitor earphones, providing high-resolution audio quality.
Additionally, the large 40mm dynamic driver, with a specially designed long stroke (0.8mm), ensures robust low-frequency output through kinetic energy conversion. Combined with the high resolution of the pressure-field phase design, the WHIZZER 1969s delivers superior sound quality and detail compared to many headphones in its category.

Founded in 2016 by a group of seasoned industrial designers, Whizzer Audio is driven by a team of post-95s innovators passionate about exploring the possibilities of industrial design and sonic aesthetics. Using high-quality earphones and accessories as their medium, these Whizzer creators embarked on a journey of craftsmanship and aesthetic exploration in Shenzhen.
Rooted in Shenzhen, China, we leverage the mature electro-acoustic industry supply chain of the Pearl River Delta, adhering to original design and proprietary solutions to continuously create earphones and peripherals with a distinctive aesthetic vision.
We firmly believe that the "Made in China" of the new era is not merely a confident output of industrial products but a profound expression of industrial artistry, embodying "independent sonic aesthetics" and "refined industrial design" as its core essence.
The industrial design of earphones is not a one-dimensional race for sound quality alone; it is a meticulous, holistic design process grounded in user experience, encompassing auditory, tactile, and overall humanistic sensory dimensions.
We take pleasure in deconstructing various material processes, seamlessly integrating them with our original acoustic structures. Through the unique sonic aesthetics and multidimensional, cohesive design sensibility of the Whizzer team, we elevate and reimagine these elements into original works in the distinctive Whizzer style.
Relentlessly exploring the boundaries and possibilities of design, sound, and technology remains the eternal creative theme of the Whizzer team.
Through our products, we convey our unique perspectives on sound, experience, and craftsmanship to users, fostering growing recognition of our "Work or Whiz · Masterpiece of Craftsmanship" philosophy.
