Tiki easy coffee
Project Description
Amid intensifying competition in the convenience store coffee sector, Tiki easy coffee refuses to rest solely on the channel access and trust inherent to its parent brand EASY JOY. Instead, it innovatively employs a systematic branding strategy, successfully evolving from a purely functional product into an emotional, shareable brand asset.
Its innovation path unfolds across five key dimensions. In terms of brand architecture, Tiki easy coffee, with the new English name and an independent visual identity system, establishes a sub-brand identity that is “shared in heritage but distinct in visage.” This approach not only makes full use of the parent brand’s exceptional credibility and extensive network coverage but also significantly enhances brand recognition in high-information-density environments through a youthful, flat design language. At the same time, the brand creates a minimalist core visual symbol: the “smile arc.” This single-stroke graphic serves a dual purpose, metaphorically representing both the golden coffee growing belt (high-quality origins) and a relaxed, joyful user experience. Moreover, the launch of the IP character “little green bean” brings the supply chain story—from bean origin to the final cup—to life through personification. As a result, the “fantastic journey of the coffee bean” transforms abstract ideas of global sourcing and quality assurance into a resonant, shareable emotional narrative. The green hue of the IP character is derived from the parent brand’s signature color, creating a highly recognizable character asset while ensuring visual consistency across stores, social media, and dynamic content—becoming a continuous engine for delivering brand warmth. Building on these design innovations, Tiki easy coffee establishes a ternary modular visual identity system of “smile arc + little green bean + signature green color (primary color).” Paired with secondary colors of light coffee, warm white, and sunshine yellow, as well as an open graphic structure, the system seamlessly adapts to online scenarios (app interfaces, digital posters, etc.) and efficiently caters to offline touchpoints (signage, packaging, and checkout counters, etc.). In addition, the brand integrates sustainability into its touchpoint strategy by prioritizing digital materials like electronic menus and online membership cards to minimize single-use paper consumption.
Through the synergistic innovation of its brand architecture, a symbol system, IP storytelling, modular design, and sustainable strategy, Tiki easy coffee elevates the concept of “convenience store coffee” into a modern consumer brand characterized by recognizability, emotional resonance, and social responsibility. This success provides a replicable paradigm for parent brands incubating sub-brands.
