Thorned Rose
Project Description
Thorned Rose draws inspiration from the true story of Waris Dirie, the Somali model who broke free from suffering and bloomed amidst thorns in the film Desert Flower. With thorns as its spine and a rose as its soul, this design captures passion and edge on your neckline—each red rose recreates nature’s vivid texture, diamond-set petal edges blend into wine-red romance, and the center stone glows like a rose’s heart in the dark. More than a symbol of undying love, it’s a declaration of unyielding self: where gentleness meets edge, romance coexists with backbone, letting every ray of light tell the story of an unbroken soul.
I am Wang Hefei, born in China in 1982. My daily life is split between two passions: one is trekking to the mountains of mining areas, touching the earth’s texture through rough ores and selecting every stone with a story; the other is immersing in design at my desk, sketching lines with craftsmanship to carve the romance of beauty into tangible pieces. From ore to jewelry, from the wild to my desk, I aspire to be a jeweler true to my original heart—with a dual love for the simplicity of raw stones and the tenderness of design.
