The Tang Palace Feast

by 601ASD

Project Description

Taking Tang Dynasty culture as the core design, the design is developed from the three dimensions of Tang Dynasty meteorology, the spirit of rituals and music, and cultural integration, so that the space becomes an immersive carrier of Tang Dynasty civilization:
Spatial pattern: replicating the grandeur of "Xiong Han and Sheng Tang".
v Tang Dynasty architecture was characterized by "big, strong and broad", and the design follows this core:
Symmetrical axis: Continuing the symmetrical axis of Daming Palace, the main stage is in the center, and the guest areas are neatly arranged along both sides of the axis, reproducing the ceremonial order of the Tang Dynasty, which was "honored by the center", and giving every step of the procession a sense of "going to a banquet in the palace".
 Spacious space: Drawing on the "high platforms and broad spaces" of the Tang Dynasty's Hall of Containment, the high roofs and open corridors create a sense of permeability, echoing the Tang people's spirit of embracing the world.
Decorative symbols: decoding the "genetic code" of Tang Dynasty culture
Hierarchical progression: like the Tang Dynasty gardens "starting and ending", from the screen shadow wall at the entrance, to the open banqueting area in the main hall, and then to the pavilion-style decorations in the background, the spatial hierarchy is used to tell the narrative of "Entering the Banquet - Observing the Ceremony - Immersive Experience".
Axis Reinforcement: Taking the dragon as the "soul of the central axis", above the main stage, imitating the form of the wells of the Tang Dynasty palaces, the outline of the wells is outlined with the gilt coiled dragon pattern, and the dragon's body meanders and echoes the central axis, so that when guests are traveling along the axis, they seem to follow the "dragon's track", reinforcing the "center as honor". "The top of the columns on both sides, decorated with phoenix birds looking back, and the dragon to form a "dragon and phoenix Chaozong" situation, echoing the Tang Dynasty "dragon and phoenix and respect, and coordination of heaven and earth" cultural concept. Cultural concept.
 Layers of expansion: In the high place of space, the "Birds Towards the Phoenix" scene is presented with hollow wood carving and light and shadow, with the dragon moving and shuttling and the phoenix spreading its wings, creating a grand vision of "the dragon and phoenix roaming in the sky" with three-dimensional layers, and recreating the architecture of the Tang Dynasty. "Looking up to the sky, the sky and the earth are symbiotic".
Spiritual core: returning to the cultural soul of "openness and tolerance" of the Tang Dynasty.
