QIHESPACE

Project Description

The criss - cross alleys wind among the houses; the neighbors' doors are wide open, with no estrangement at all...These childhood memories are like a seed that has taken root and sprouted in the heart of the designer, Chen Huichang. He hopes that his office can recreate the natural charm and wildness, and reconstruct the sincerity and trust between people.
The designer recessed the entrance hall to create a more exclusive entry space.;An electric off - axis door is installed to bring out a unique sense of ritual;Beside the door, there is a narrow slit through which the interior island counter can be faintly seen.
The semi - circular suspended material storage room, designed with a granary as the prototype, is separated from the main wall, resembling an alley.
The flowing water, lush green plants, and uniquely - shaped wild rocks... The designer painstakingly crafted every detail, striving to minimize excessive artificial elements, thus achieving a dialogue with nature within this exclusive office space.
The lighting design also recreates childhood scenes: the moonlight shines on the trees, and the tree shadows are reflected on the water. The natural play of light and shadow makes people feel as if they are in a peaceful countryside.
The shape of the central island counter features irregular cut surfaces, reminiscent of the stones we casually chipped away at during childhood. The small square stones deliberately protruding from the wall not only showcase a sense of natural randomness but also reflect the designer's unwavering aesthetic stance.
In terms of material selection, the designer emphasizes a sense of primitiveness. The travertine tells the vicissitudes of time, with each hole containing the mysteries of nature. The cement - gray floor is simple, solid, and exudes a unique charm of the integration of industry and nature. The artistic paint mixed with coffee powder endows the wall with a warm touch, resembling the simplicity of the adobe walls in rural areas during childhood.
The desks in the design department are crafted by integrating stones, wooden boards, and aluminum plates through mortise - and - tenon techniques. This simple yet straightforward approach recaptures childhood memories, exudes a strong sense of design, and showcases the designer's originality and uniqueness.
Each space is independent, open, and ingeniously connected. Resembling the winding and lively paths in rural alleys, they quietly endow this area with its unique rhythm and cadence.
The screen in the negotiation area imitates the look of a bamboo fence. It not only ensures that the negotiation process is free from interference but also maintains the spatial transparency.
With the design concept of natural charm and rustic appeal, the designer adopts an open - plan layout to convey their original intention. They hope that through this design, they can communicate with others more candidly.
