Project Description


The packaging specially designed for NYO3 Antarctic Krill Oil Golden Amundsen Edition draws inspiration from Roald·Amundsen, a famous Norwegian explorer and the world’ s first man to reach the South Pole. The crossover collaboration of nutrition and culture well nourishes both body and soul of users, and reveals the brand’s efforts to inherit, explore and enrich Norwegian culture and marine phospholipids. Color is a most important element of packaging design. The well-chosen colors, including red, white, blue and gold, come into collision and fusion. Such a design suggests rich nutrients and a profound cultural background of the product as well as its powerful function on silently invigorating users, whereby to render the brand highly recognizable. The packaging integrates the antarctic journey of Amundsen, Antarctic krill oil (one of the three treasures of Norway) and multiple cultural elements with the western engraving technique, to highlight the innate adventurous spirit of human beings and embody the brand concept of “Norway style, pure and simple”.
The packaging also features an innovative interaction design to offer an interesting, inspiring experience. The side opening design introduced to the outer box makes users feel as if opening a mysterious door to history when they open the box, giving a sense of ritual. The semi-transparent tracing paper above the inside illustration is printed with the route of the antarctic journey, which not only encourages users to actively explore history, but also guides them deeply interact with the product and experience marine phospholipids.
Following the brand idea of respecting and protecting environment, the sustainable packaging minimizes its material use to saves natural resources and shows Nordic healthy eco-friendly lifestyle, satisfying modern people’s pursuit of green life.
