As a ground-floor hair salon, it faces the challenge of allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the interior. To “maximize the flow of light”, an open-plan layout is employed, creating unobstructed pathways for both light and air circulation. Glass partitions define zones subtly, establishing gentle boundaries while maintaining a sense of openness and brightness throughout the space.
With a gray palette as the dominant color scheme, the space exudes a sense of calm and invites clients to gradually unwind and relax. The extensive use of curves softens the sharp lines and edges. From the fluid contours of the reception desk to the arched mirror frames and rounded wall elements, these design gestures infuse the space with artistic elegance while cultivating a warm, gentle, and inviting spatial narrative.
The seating area breaks away from conventional parallel arrangements, adopting a diagonally staggered layout that not only provides stylists with generous space but also offers clients greater privacy. The wash area is enclosed on both sides with reeded glass panels and glass bricks. The ribbed surface scatters light in multiple directions, creating a soft, ambient glow that enhances the atmosphere of the room. Translucent yet obscure, it efficiently channels light into the space, crafting a serene environment where clients can relax, be pampered, and feel rejuvenated.
