Mil Toast House, TRX, Malaysia.

Inspired by the softness and movement of clouds, Mil Toast House transforms a contemporary café into a calm and immersive spatial experience. Flowing layered ceiling forms create a floating canopy that evokes lightness, rhythm, and tranquility, allowing visitors to momentarily escape the intensity of the urban environment.
Rooted in Korean tea house culture and interpreted through a contemporary minimalist language, the design balances emotional warmth with architectural clarity. Soft curves, warm lighting, and carefully composed proportions create a serene atmosphere that enhances both visual and acoustic comfort.
The cloud inspired ceiling installation was developed using parametric design software, allowing precise form generation, optimization, and CNC fabrication accuracy. This digital process enabled complex flowing geometries to be efficiently produced while maintaining consistency, material control, and construction precision.
Sustainability is deeply integrated into the design approach. Bamboo veneer was selected for its renewable qualities and natural warmth, while recycled PET acoustic felt panels form the sculptural ceiling installation, improving acoustics while repurposing post consumer materials. Durable terrazzo surfaces further reinforce the project’s commitment to timeless and responsible material choices.
Mil Toast House demonstrates how sustainability, culture, advanced digital craftsmanship, and sensory driven design can coexist seamlessly, creating a poetic retreat where nature inspired forms shape a memorable human experience.
