Meditation Seat · Cynicism
Project Description
This is a cross legged sitting device used for meditation. Its overall design is based on ergonomics and can assist in supporting various parts of the lower body of the human body to prevent fatigue from prolonged sitting. Its sitting surface has a slight forward tilt angle, which can help users form a midline spinal curve and prevent hunchback.Because its design inspiration comes from the claws of dogs and borrows the spirit of the ancient Greek philosophical school of cynicism as the design direction, it is named Canis. The raised shape at the knee rest can support the outer side of the knees of both legs, avoiding stress on the base of the thighs and ankles. The interior space design of the seat fully considers the comfortable placement of the left and right heels, and the protruding front end and concave shape on both sides can allow the backs of the feet to stretch and fit snugly inside. The depression in the middle of the seat can effectively alleviate the pressure on the urinary organs caused by prolonged sitting. The sitting face and knee rest are located outside the internal shaping sponge with gel memory sponge, which has better heat dissipation and flexibility. To maintain the human body support and service life of the seat, we have added a three-dimensional metal skeleton inside it. It is designed according to the requirements of mold opening, and the thickness interval between it and the external shaping sponge effectively ensures the softness of the sitting experience. This seat is a type of furniture that helps people better enter a meditative state and can also be used for various activities such as cross legged sitting.
