MediaTek Qingpu · Time New Shu

The project is rooted in Qingpu, known as the "source of Shanghai civilization", and boasts a 6000 year heritage of Songze culture and contemporary momentum as the gateway to the Yangtze River Delta integration demonstration zone. We are facing a group of dynamic young people who have grown up in the digital economy and ecological vision. Therefore, the core proposition of design is born. How to transform the profound local culture into a contemporary community scene that they can perceive, identify with, and enjoy participating in?
The exhibition area is designed with a natural river belt as the backdrop and a living block as the script, creating a series of immersive experiences that are interconnected. Design a breakthrough in water diversion: We are not satisfied with just "watching water", but also designing "using water". By integrating water systems, misty forests, light and shadow, and soundscapes, the experience of "water" is introduced from the boundary into the core of the site, forming a flowing ecological art.
The exhibition area is not an isolated segment, but the essence of the whole region's "boundless Senyu" life blueprint and forward-looking narrative. We are here to rehearse the social, leisure, and cultural core of the future community.
Time is like rain and dew, nourishing the rebirth of all things, just like a project on the land by the Dianpu River, using landscape as a medium, allowing traditional ecology, modern life, and youthful vitality to coexist and grow together. We will organize the landscape of the exhibition area into four major zones, each corresponding to a "new life" in a certain period of time, connecting the ideal life of all age groups.
The entrance area is inspired by the concept of "new sprouts breaking through the soil", and the symmetrical layout enhances the sense of ceremony at the entrance, creating a welcoming scene full of ceremony and vitality, while achieving a natural transition from urban public spaces to quiet community scenes. Taking on the landscape architecture of the entrance area, our core design goal is "slow roaming", combined with the scale of the exhibition area to create a linear landscape axis, enhancing the experience and relaxation of the block. The waterscape roundabout located in the center of the space surrounds a circular water area with elegant curved lines, and its edges are paved with intricately carved petal patterns. From the air, it looks like a fully bloomed flower, accurately inscribed with the phrase 'New Shu of Time'. The warm "wooden relaxation" tone is used in the neighborhood, with wooden benches and modular outdoor displays forming the scale of family members. The platform with staggered levels provides people with a good place to relax, meeting the relaxed atmosphere and sense of relaxation needed by young people. People can face the river scenery and relax, enjoying the rare relaxation of body and mind by the bustling waterfront amidst the aroma of coffee and natural white noise.
As the concluding space at the riverside end of the exhibition area, we take "hierarchical enjoyment of scenery and peaceful enjoyment of river breeze" as the design core, introducing the natural texture of Dianpu River into the site, and creating a riverside experience area that combines sightseeing, leisure, and ecological sense.
