Profile
Born in Yokohama in 1959. Graduated from the Department of Architecture, Tama Art University, in 1982. After working in the design department of a lighting manufacturer,
he was appointed Chief Lighting Designer at Kaito Office Co., Ltd. in 1990.
In 1996, he founded ICE Co., Ltd. (Urban Environmental Lighting Laboratory).
He has been involved in a wide range of lighting design and direction projects, including commercial spaces, public spaces, and events.
In 2011, the Hakuhokan at Happoen received the Illumination Award of Distinction (Grand Prize) from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) at the International Illumination Design Awards. He has received numerous other international lighting design awards.
