Lyf Sukhumvit 8
Project Description
More than a hotel, LYF Bangkok is an urban canvas a visual explosion of Bangkok’s kinetic street culture. Located in Sukhumvit, this lifestyle hotel by ASCOTT was designed by THAT'S ITH INTERIOR to cater to next-gen travelers and creative nomads.
Our design turns Bangkok’s everyday chaos into curated experiences: tuk-tuks, temple murals, neon shophouses, and street food stalls are reimagined into immersive installations. The Lobby greets guests with concrete floors and exposed ceilings, accented by bright traditional tiles leading to a crimson-red sculpture of “Sao Ching Cha” (The Giant Swing), a beloved city icon.
Each corridor is themed after a Bangkok neighborhood Yaowarat, Silom, Sukhumvit—making every floor a local expedition. Guestrooms serve as modern Thai micro-lofts: mural headboards hand-painted with skyline scenes, modular storage under beds, and fold-out wall sculptures that transform into shelves.
This project celebrates Bangkok’s cultural chaos with a sense of humor, identity, and artistry. It breaks free from hospitality norms and transforms a hotel into an unforgettable “pop-up street art museum.”
