InsightPro+

by Sun Qi&Duan Shiyu

Project Description

InsightPro+ breaks free from the limitations of traditional data systems, which often prioritize technical complexity over user-friendliness. With inclusivity and low barriers as its core principles, the platform reimagines data usage in educational settings. Focusing on convenience and accessibility, it addresses the challenges educators face due to varying levels of data literacy, enabling more users to easily understand and apply educational data. Its design empowers diverse stakeholders to engage in data-driven instructional improvements, promoting the widespread adoption and democratization of informed educational decision-making.
InsightPro+ is built around the core principle of zero learning cost, featuring a clear interface structure and streamlined interaction logic that enable users to quickly grasp and perform key operations. In pre-launch usability testing, over 90% of users independently completed core functions within 10 minutes without any professional training, achieving an impressive usability score of 91.7. These results strongly validate the platform’s "data-for-all" design goal, demonstrating its high adaptability and ease of use in real-world educational environments.
InsightPro+, tailored for Tecnológico de Monterrey, provides data templates optimized for educational contexts, balancing expressive efficiency with clear visual presentation. Paired with a drag-and-drop report generation tool, it allows users to quickly create personalized reports to meet diverse teaching and research needs without requiring programming or technical expertise. This design significantly enhances data processing efficiency while gradually empowering users to develop skills in independent analysis and data-driven decision-making.
InsightPro+ deeply integrates multi-user collaboration into its platform architecture, supporting features like report sharing, annotation tagging, and online discussions to facilitate seamless communication between frontline educators and management. This collaborative framework dismantles data silos, enhancing data-sharing efficiency and organizational information consistency. Data analysis transforms from an isolated technical task into an engaging, collective process, driving continuous improvements in teaching quality.
InsightPro+ goes beyond merely displaying data, focusing on transforming it into actionable teaching insights. The platform leverages AI algorithms to automatically identify trends, predict risks, and highlight critical issues, presenting analysis results in natural language to help educators quickly grasp complex data. This data-to-insights transformation pathway significantly enhances the practical value of data, enabling more targeted and forward-looking educational decisions that truly drive improved student learning outcomes.
InsightPro+ has not only been widely adopted within Tecnológico de Monterrey but also offers strong replicability, serving as a practical model for other educational institutions to enhance their data capabilities. The platform fosters a data-driven culture within organizations, driving improvements in student performance and strategic execution. While serving individual institutions, it also demonstrates significant potential for broader adoption to promote global educational equity.

Sun Qi&Duan Shiyu

Sun Qi and Duan Shiyu are the designers of the platform InsightPro+. The platform aims to break the limitations of traditional data systems that prioritize technical complexity over usability. Centered on the principles of accessibility and low entry barriers, InsightPro+ reimagines the data experience within educational settings. The design focuses on convenience and accessibility, addressing the challenges educators face due to varying levels of data literacy, and helping more users easily understand and apply educational data. Through InsightPro+, the two designers hope to enable individuals in different roles to participate in data-driven teaching improvement and to advance the democratization of educational decision-making.
