Guột Garden Club House

by Ho Khue Architects

Project Description

The Guot Garden Club House is a new type of building that aims to reconnect the people of Song Lam with their original landscape. This area is currently dealing with urbanization, which threatens to erase the area's unique identity. The project is a brave attempt to combine a non-linear architectural style with long-standing, deeply rooted indigenous cultural values.
The project's most significant innovation is the "Organic Dome System" structure. The building's hyperbolic paraboloid shape doesn't fight the natural terrain; instead, it fits in with its curves. This roofing system serves not only as an iconic aesthetic element but also as a passive climate control mechanism: the folds of the roof act as "light wells" that channel natural ventilation, thereby eliminating the need for artificial lighting and cooling. The fusion of raw materials (board-marked concrete) and indigenous materials (thatch) represents a cultural dialogue between the past and the future.
Guot Garden has had a big effect on the local community by giving people a place to be outside and inside at the same time. The building is not just useful; it also brings people together and encourages cultural activities. Through the use of locally sourced materials and sustainable construction techniques, we affirm that architecture can become a symbol of a new era while still preserving the essence of the land, thereby contributing to the enrichment of global design culture.

Ho Khue Architects

HO KHUE ARCHITECTS (ALPES) is an Architectural Studio with the mission of "Beautifying life" through innovative design solutions. We combine the sensitivity of art with the precision of science to create globally authoritative works.
Core Philosophy: Organic Sculptural Architecture Organic Sculptural Architecture is our design principle. Ho Khue Architects does not accept soulless boxes, but transforms rigid raw materials into soulful and environmentally responsible forms.
Design Logic: Our curves and forms are not arbitrary. They are the result of calculations aimed at optimizing energy, regulating microclimate, and reducing the thermal load on the building.
We are comprised of expert Architects and Engineers, ensuring every sculptural idea is realized with Total Capability: the highest technical quality. The studio is capable of executing projects from individual buildings to complex urban master plans.
