This low table was designed to harmonize with an office space themed around "waves." The transparent blue glass top expresses the fluidity and clarity of water, while the chrome-plated legs, meticulously finished by craftsmen at Iwata Mekki, radiate a shine reminiscent of light reflected on the water's surface. By using pipes with a larger diameter than those typically found in tables, the design enhances structural stability while achieving a striking form. Additionally, when natural light passes through the top, blue light reflects onto the surrounding area, visually connecting the furniture with the interior design. It resonates with the curved designs of the ceiling and walls, blending seamlessly into the space without being overly assertive, while still exuding a strong presence.
F3R is an international design firm with offices in New York, Tokyo, and Osaka, founded in 2023.
The studio was born from Keisuke Omata’s vision to create open-ended spaces and furniture—designs that do not impose a fixed purpose but instead invite diverse interpretations and uses.
