Black Ember

by Akl Architects

Project Description

A unique vision binds the project seamlessly to its location, as the entire structure gracefully descends to an intermediate level, harmonizing with the natural gradient of the land. The facade, a study in elegant opacity, conceals a singular main opening, a transformative gateway that unfolds into a splendid patio. Connecting external and internal landscapes, steps form a direct pathway, revealing a sprawling vista as one enters. Significant zones naturally emerge, housing focal points like the fireplace and bleachers. The house takes on a U-shaped layout, one face toward the mountains, the other to the road. In the heart lies an enchanting garden, adding a dimension of contrast and vitality. The project harmonizes with nature using engineered black stone and wood, mirroring the lush surroundings. The exterior facade is adorned in stone, while the heart of the home exudes warmth with wood, creating a cozy ambiance that flows seamlessly. This unity between house, nature, and infinity pool captures and reflects the scenic beauty indoors.
