Project Description

。 Zhengzhou, a city where antiquity and modernity intertwine. This project is located in Guanhutun, at the convergence of old and new urban districts, carrying both the prosperous memories of old Zhengzhou and connecting to the city's future pulse. With our value proposition of "making life a beautiful encounter", we integrate the "crabapple" element into spatial design, creating a poetic dwelling place through dialogue between history and future.
During the conceptual design phase, we deeply explored Guanhutun's local culture, drawing inspiration from Su Shi's poetic imagery of crabapple. Through innovative "cultural translation" techniques, designers established a modern light gray color scheme, complemented by dark stone and warm wood finishes, creating an elegant and layered spatial color system. Finishing details echo with landscape design, achieving a space that combines contemporary luxury with artistic ambience.
Upon entering the first-floor living gallery, the ceremonial foyer "First Bloom" creates immersive experiences with Shanghai-style aesthetics and cinematic storytelling techniques. The crabapple-red reception screen embodies traditional aesthetics, while elevator lobbies showcase local stories through art installations, and exhibition corridors reinterpret Guanhutun's history with contemporary approaches. Every detail narrates the city's dialogue between old and new.
The second floor adopts a "strolling garden" concept, perfectly blending functionality with artistic conception. Designers ingeniously employ foamed ceramic tiles as partitions, whose unique translucency and texture, combined with lighting effects, outline subtle crabapple silhouettes. The garden-inspired circulation creates a serene ambiance for tea appreciation amid shifting views.
The basement features a terraced reading lounge themed "Bamboo Court & Crabapple". Here, composite bamboo woodwork engages in rich material dialogue with brick walls: the former's warm grain complements the latter's rustic texture, while bamboo's smooth tactility contrasts yet harmonizes with brick's roughness. Modern craftsmanship preserves bamboo's natural qualities while enabling contemporary expression, jointly interpreting the fusion of tradition and modernity with memory-laden bricks.
In material application, we emphasize innovative integration of tradition and modernity. From composite bamboo to foamed ceramics, each material is meticulously selected and processed to preserve natural qualities while achieving contemporary expression, perfectly embodying our design philosophy bridging the past and future.
