Jilotzingo Country House
Project Description
The Jilotzingo country house is a project built from scratch, on a 2,600 m2 lot, located in Mexico City. This house was designed to entertain a family and their friends.
With an overall concept of "the natural essence of youth," this country house was designed as a gabled cabin with black steel and wood, the focal point of which was the garden, and the spaces were always in communion with nature through patios and terraces. Within the context of "a forest in the city," the architectural project was designed with a geometry of clean lines and materials such as natural stones and local woods, creating a fresh and contemporary style.
The interior design was based on neutral colors and a color palette that evoked nature and coexisted in harmony with the materials used and the forest ecosystem. With a sense of space based on spaciousness and order, the project was completed in record time—less than a year—from the laying of the cornerstone to the formal delivery of the house, complete with furnishings and everything ready to move in and enjoy.
This country house features large and diverse furniture designs to display the client's important collection pieces. It consists of a front and rear garden with a water well, a garage for twenty cars, and an outdoor play area for children. A large terrace features a living room with a fireplace, a dining room with two grills, and two bathrooms for events. The ground floor features a living room with a TV area, a dining room, a foosball table, a children's playroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a service area. The upper floor consists of a bedroom for four girls, a bedroom for three boys, and the master bedroom, each with its own bathroom. It also has a basement with a guest area and a half-service kitchen for events.
The project's degree of innovation and environmental impact lie in its self-sustaining home, which generates its own energy through a battery system located in the basement, powered by solar panels. It also features a rainwater harvesting system. State-of-the-art synthetic and natural materials were used for the interior design, and stones extracted from the site were used for its construction. The project also featured native vegetation in the landscaping.
The competitive advantage lies in the fact that a comprehensive project was designed that achieved a harmonious combination of architectural design, interior design, lighting (both natural and artificial), air conditioning, landscaping, and the optimization of the use of each space to achieve the goal sought from the outset: an ideal home for entertaining and relaxing. A branding system with the name of the property, a marquee at the entrance, and personalized tableware, linens, and all kitchenware were also incorporated. Personalized customer service from project planning to the last detail in every decision was vital to achieving success, speed, and efficiency throughout the entire project process.
